Survivor of trafficking and enslavement by ISIS, named U.N. Goodwill Ambassador.

pp23 year old Nadia Murad Bashee Taha, a courageous young Yazidi woman, who survived sexual enslavement by ISIS militants, bravely testified in December 2015 at the first-ever UN Security Council’s session on human trafficking.
Officially nominated by Iraq in January 2016, for a Nobel Peace prize in recognition of her tireless and courageous activism on behalf of Yazidi women, on the 17th of September 2016, Nadia was named the UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking, because of her efforts to bring attention to the plight of thousands of girls and women held by ISIS militants.
