Members of the International Union of Superiors General (UISG) begin the New Year with a visitation to the Ponte Galeria detention centre, where they visited young girls and women from African countries, detained having crossed the Mediterranean in search of a better life. The Sisters offered hope and loving care as they met with the girls, most of whom have been trafficked and violated during their perilous journeys across the African continent.
