On the April 23, 2026, Sr. Stanka Oršolić was invited from the Assist. Prof. Marijana Kompes
to held a lecture about the Modern Slavery on her Human Rights Course to the 40 students
of the first year of the Faculty of Law at the Catholic University of Croatia in Zagreb.
Sr. Stanka explained the importance of human dignity in the anti-trafficking work, gave some
background about the slavery in the history of the humankind, represented key documents,
causes, types and who are the victims of human trafficking, represent the work and
contribution in the anti-trafficking field of the Medaille Trust organisation, RENATE network,
Talitha Kum network, JRS organisation and the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human
Development in Vatican.


At the end, she gave some data about the human trafficking in
Croatia. After the lecture students had opportunity to ask the questions, take some leaflets
and learn more about the issue and take a prayer against the human trafficking.
