A series of “study visit” meetings were recently held with 30 professionals from the Albanian child protection system in the Municipality of Tirana, to share the positive case management practices of children who require protection and empowerment services. These meetings highlighted some effective techniques, procedures, and ways of working for child protection workers, some of whom have years of experience working in the rural areas of the Municipality of Tirana.
These activities, carried out by SHKEJ, are a part of the ongoing project “Strengthening child protection structures at the local level in the rural areas of the Municipality of Tirana“, supported by the regional project “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Common Values in the Balkans“, and implemented by Centar za promočnje členni društva (CPCD) in partnership with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM), the Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM), and financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA).
