About Us

Religious in Europe Networking Against Trafficking and Exploitation
Uniting for Freedom, Justice, and Dignity
RENATE is a European network of religious and their collaborators dedicated to eradicating human trafficking and exploitation in all its forms. We work tirelessly to rehabilitate victims, combat sexual and labor exploitation, and end slavery.
Founded by religious congregations committed to this mission, RENATE strengthens collaboration across Europe and beyond. As part of the global Talitha Kum network, we join forces with organizations, governments, and civil society to confront this urgent human rights crisis. Networking is our strength—together, we are a force for change.
Our Mission
In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, RENATE is committed to:
- Restoring lives – Providing victims with protection, safe housing, legal documentation, and skills training for a future of dignity and independence.
- Eradicating exploitation – Confronting the root causes of human trafficking and systemic injustice that enable modern-day slavery.
- Strengthening global collaboration – Connecting countries of origin, transit, and destination to disrupt trafficking networks and ensure survivor support.
- Educating and empowering – Raising awareness, especially among youth, to create a society that refuses to tolerate human trafficking.
- Advocating for justice – Challenging governments to enact and enforce strong legislation that protects victims, punishes perpetrators, and seizes criminal assets.
- Amplifying voices – Partnering with the media to expose the realities of trafficking and drive public action.

At RENATE, we believe a world free from human trafficking is possible. Together, we stand for justice, dignity, and hope.

How We Work
RENATE operates across 31 countries in Europe, uniting 139 anti-trafficking networks to combat human trafficking through collaboration, advocacy, and direct support for victims.
