In an effort to combat criminal activities such as people smuggling, human trafficking and the prevention of human tragedies at Europe’s external borders, Mr. Eugenio Ambrosi, IOM Regional Director for the European Union, calls for the creation of well-managed legal pathways and routes by which all migrants could safely and legally access Europe.
