On 8 February, the Caritas Ukraine network marked the International Day of Prayer and
Awareness against Human Trafficking.
This day is a moment of profound solidarity with those who have endured exploitation and, at the
same time, a reaffirmation of our commitment to stand as a reliable support for the most
vulnerable.
In the context of war, the risks for women, children and internally displaced persons have
increased significantly. In these challenging circumstances, prayer is our spiritual foundation, while
institutional strength is an effective tool for protection. We act as a coordinated system, with
every effort directed toward safeguarding of human life and dignity.

Caritas Ukraine counter trafficking staff address the issue of human trafficking every day. Our
specialists accompany affected persons at every stage – from the first point of contact to full
reintegration into society. We provide comprehensive support, helping each person regain
stability and confidence in the future.
At the same time, we work proactively: raising awareness and providing practical guidance on how
to recognize risks and avoid exploitation. We believe that the most effective way to save human
lives is prevention.

We unite in shared prayer and professional service for the safety and freedom of every person.
